Electronic Bank Transfers

Through electronic transfer, Duke University offers you the opportunity to make your gift without writing a check. With your authorization, on the same day each month (usually on or about the 10th of each month) we will automatically debit your checking account in the amount you designate. At any time you desire, you may change or cancel your authorization -- you retain control throughout the process!

There is a long list of advantages for establishing bank drafts including: convenience -- you don't have to spend time writing and mailing checks; it's easier to reconcile your bank account; you save money on postage and check charges; you don't have to worry about your gift getting lost in the mail; and most importantly -- it's safe and free!

How do I sign up? We're glad you asked! Simply fill out the form online. (Click here for the form)

Don't forget to submit your voided check after the online process!

Other important things to know about electronic bank drafts

Bank drafts are established for indefinite periods and are canceled only when the Office of Alumni & Development Records receives a written request.

Once your authorization form is completed and returned it will take Duke roughly one month to establish the standard transaction.

Bank drafts are established for continuous giving. Unfortunately, we cannot offer this method of giving for one time donations.
